Ghost Train

Ghost train
Come for a ride on my ghost train
Sit next to me, hold my hand but I must warn you no one gets out alive
Ghost train
Come for a ride on my ghost train
Sit next to me, hold my hand but I must warn you nobody survives
I’m not sure I’m not wasting my time with you
I’m not sure I’m not wasting my time, waiting alone clasping this one way ticket for you

Twisted
02:14
|
|||
I walk by, strangers look me in the eye
I try to be kind, but bad things always come to mind
On the lazy days, I dream of ways to paint the whole world black
Adorn it with fear, twisted ideas, like spiders on my back
I scare myself with my imagination
I tell myself it’s just imagination
On this screen, voices, faces, make-believe
All of their noise, leaves me with no other choice
On the crazy days, I count the ways to paint the whole world red
Adorn it with fear, twisted ideas, until everybody’s dead
I scare myself with my imagination
I tell myself it’s just imagination
I’ve lost control of my imagination
I scare myself with my imagination

If Only I Could Remember
02:32
|
|||
The time has arrived, I must apologise
It's been pointed out to me I jumped the gun
Back then all I could see was guilt within your eyes
But I hated you for things you hadn't done
Only a coward says sorry in a letter
It's only right I say it face to face
I know it's all too late, just for peace of mind
If I knew all I do now, years ago
I would never be so cruel but I was blind
To the truth and I just had to let you go
If only I could remember
If only I could remember
If only I could remember
It completely escapes my mind...
Where I buried you

Roses are dead
Violets as black as your heart
The lies that you said
Were written way back at the start
I stare at you lifeless, listen to the rain
Reenacting your swan song
Nothing I would change
Where once lived a romance
Only the corvids remain
No more lies from you

Dresden Bats
02:19
|
|||
Together as bats we’ll fly over the Dresden sky
Together as bats we’ll die, and fall from the Dresden sky
Sweet nothings lost within the chimes
I’ve been waiting for a lifetime to be on this ledge with you
To be on this ledge with you
Love letters drifting down the Elbe
I’ve been waiting for a lifetime baby to take this leap with you
To take this leap with you
In unison we both glance down
Our hearts no longer breaking
As we are the only ones that know
This sacrifice we’re making

Scissors
01:29
|
|||
From my office chair I glance across the rain soaked busy road
to an alleyway slightly obscured from view
A red and white revolving sign, a lone flickering lamp
fronts a barber shop that’s used seldom by few
But of all the clientele I’ve witnessed enter, I’ve never once seen anybody leave
With the belief that curiosity could never kill this cat
I decide to take a look on my way home
I find shutters closed, doors locked, but through an archway to the side
descending steps, though scared I venture down alone
I creep along the wall amidst the darkness, a broken window pane I can’t not look inside
As I strike a match I’m instantly confronted by a sight that would inflict scars on your eyes
At least a hundred eyeless faces, each one fashioned with a rose
Jam jars containing fingers, a charm box full of toes
Ornamental severed ears hang from a lampshade made from teeth
It’s a butchers not a barbers, an acquired taste in meat
Discarded bones, peeled skin, strewn about the floor
Secateurs and razors hang, my eyes can take no more
Frantically retreating, uncontrollably I choke
I feel a hand upon my shoulder and scissors to my throat
